SEQUEL TO ASUU STRIKE: oau students chased home

Students of the Obafemi Awolowo University were shocked late Wednesday when the university authority gave them less than 24 hours to leave campus. This came barely a day after the Academic Staff Union Of Universities, ASUU went on strike. The students where informed of the university's decision in a notice signed by the university registrar and pasted on notice boards in the hostels. The student union president later went round the campus urging students to resist what it called baseless intimidation on the part of the university authority. But most students ignored the SU president because they were actually eager to go home
Other universities are expected to arrive at the same decision. At the moment, both academic and non academic staff of Nigerian universities are on strike. I promise to keep you posted
